Reality TV star Uriel Oputa has knocked Nigerians who criticise former Big Brother Naija housemate Tacha Akide over her alleged enhanced body.
Uriel, who was a housemate in the 2017 edition of the show, made her remarks in a strongly worded post shared on her Instagram Story on Friday.
She accused Nigerians of hypocrisy and selective memory, recalling how many of them mocked Tacha in the past but now pretend to be surprised by her transformation.
“If the world is trying to create a new method for amnesia –
Forget surgery. Forget medication.
Just bring 10 Nigerians, especially from Lagos, and let them breathe on the person that needs memory loss.
Just ten minutes of breathing. That’s it. Instant amnesia. No side effects,” she wrote.
“Because Nigerians? You people are the true originators of selective memory.
One minute you’re dragging someone through the mud,
Next minute, you’re acting brand new – like you weren’t the ones that started it.”
Uriel added:
“Why can’t you people just twist your lips, put them inside your pocket, and face front?
You people are the most emotionally unstable bunch I’ve ever encountered.
Yes, I said it with my full chest – with all due respect.”
“All of you need to go and stand in front of a mirror. Hold hands. Look at yourselves.
Then proceed to S-L-A-# yourselves.
Diligently. You deserve it. Congratulations.”
She continued:
“Tasha.
The same woman you shamed back in 2018 –
Mocked her body, ridiculed her every move.
Now she’s glowing up, looking like a whole meal – and suddenly, everyone has moral opinions?
Nonsense and ingredients. Nonsense and ogiri.”
Uriel’s post comes amid renewed criticism of Tacha’s appearance after she recently shared a video online flaunting her figure. The reality star, who rose to fame after appearing in the 2019 Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem season, recently stirred reactions after posting videos of herself online.
In past interviews, Uriel revealed she once considered surgery but chose instead to work on her body through dieting, exercise and waist training.
“I have no plans to do a boob job. Body shaming does not affect me,” she said in a 2018 interview.
