Universal McCann (UM) has praised its managing director, Oyebimpe Fayemi, popularly known as Bimpe, for her remarkable leadership and service to the organisation and its stakeholders.

Since assuming the role, Mrs. Fayemi has steered the agency to significant milestones, recording revenue growth, expanding market presence and driving transformation initiatives that reinforce UM’s position as a leading advertising agency in Nigeria and beyond.

UM said her leadership has been marked by a strong emphasis on integrity, customer focus, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, values that have translated into measurable outcomes for clients, employees and partners.

Her tenure has delivered more than 40 percent year-on-year revenue growth, strengthened the agency’s portfolio through strategic acquisitions and fostered collaborations with leading agencies to expand service reach.

UM has also undergone internal restructuring, streamlining workflows and cutting turnaround times, while embedding innovation into its operations with the launch of an AI-driven planning platform developed with global partners.

Believing that people are the agency’s greatest asset, Mrs. Fayemi has championed a culture of learning and employee wellbeing. Training initiatives, regulatory compliance programmes and welfare support have helped UM maintain a 95 percent staff retention rate.

Her leadership has also deepened UM’s commitment to community impact. In partnership with clients and NGOs, the company introduced the “Billboards to School Bags” initiative, which upcycles used billboard materials into durable school bags for underserved children. Over 4,000 bags have so far been donated to schools, supporting education while tackling environmental waste.

Mrs. Fayemi, who has over 15 years of experience in strategic and disruptive marketing communications, began her career as a media executive at STB McCann, working on accounts such as UBA PLC, British Airways, UNICEF and Kaneka Corporation Japan. She rose to become MD/CEO of Universal McCann Nigeria, an affiliate of IPG Mediabrands, where she oversees client expansion, strategic direction and financial performance.

Currently pursuing an MBA at the Metropolitan School of Business and Management, she is widely regarded for decisive leadership, fostering innovation and building sustainable growth strategies.
