Transcorp Group posts stellar H1 2025 results, declares N4.06 billion interim dividend

President of Transcorp Owen Omogiafo

Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp Group) has announced its unaudited financial results for the first half of 2025, showcasing a remarkable year-on-year performance across all key financial metrics.

In a glowing display of resilience and strategic execution, Transcorp reported a 59% surge in revenue, climbing from N175.4 billion in H1 2024 to an impressive N279.7 billion in H1 2025.

Profit before tax also rose significantly by 21%, closing at N85.7 billion, compared to N70.9 billion during the same period last year.

Despite a persistently challenging macroeconomic environment, the diversified conglomerate, with expansive interests in power, hospitality and energy, continues to outperform expectations and consolidate its market leadership.

To reward shareholders, the company declared an interim dividend of N4.064 billion, amounting to 40 kobo per ordinary share, subject to applicable withholding tax.

Chairman of Transcorp Group, Tony Elumelu, hailed the outstanding performance, saying, “Delivering on our impact-driven, value-creating mission, we continue to advance strategic investments across key sectors in Nigeria. In power, Transcorp Power and Transafam Power increasingly innovate to improve lives. In hospitality, we continue to delight our clients, especially with the launch of the Transcorp Centre – Nigeria’s superlative events venue.”

One of the most exciting developments of the period was the inauguration of the state-of-the-art Transcorp Centre in Abuja, a world-class 5,000-seat event complex that has already hosted dignitaries and major international conferences, including the 2025 AFREXIM annual meetings.

President/Group CEO Owen Omogiafo attributed the company’s upward trajectory to strategic foresight and robust execution, “Our Q2 2025 performance reflects our unwavering dedication to operational excellence and innovation. We are positioning Nigeria as the epicentre for global-scale events, while reinforcing our dominance across the power, energy, and hospitality sectors.”

Transcorp’s power subsidiaries, Transcorp Power Plc and Transafam Power, currently supply over 20% of Nigeria’s installed power capacity.

The group also continues to strengthen its upstream energy portfolio through its investment in Oil Prospecting Licence (OPL) 281.

On the hospitality front, its flagship Transcorp Hilton Abuja remains Nigeria’s premier hotel, further enhanced by the launch of Aura by Transcorp Hotels, a fast-growing digital platform for hospitality experiences.

With its dynamic leadership and long-term vision, Transcorp Group remains a symbol of excellence in Africa’s corporate landscape, committed to transforming lives and accelerating national development.
