Filmmaker Toyin Abraham’s movie Oversabi Aunty has emerged as one of the top two highest-grossing Nigerian films of 2025, with box office earnings of N850 million and counting.
The update was shared on Monday by the film’s distributor, FilmOne, on Instagram.
The company wrote, “World Best steady delivering back to back Oversabi Box office numbers!

Oversabi Aunty is now the Highest Grossing Film in the Toyin Abraham Production, grossing N850M and counting.

Oversabi Aunty was released in cinemas nationwide on December 19, 2025. The comedy centres on an overly involved church usher whose good intentions often lead to unintended consequences.
The film was written, directed and produced by Toyin Abraham, who also plays the lead role. It features an ensemble cast including Mike Ezuruonye, Efe Irele, Queen Nwokoye, Jemima Osunde, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Tana Adelana and Toyin Afolayan.
Since its release, Oversabi Aunty has maintained strong cinema attendance, recording steady box office growth and placing it among the most commercially successful Nollywood titles of the year.
