Actress Toyin Abraham’s film, Oversabi Aunty, has crossed the N1 billion mark at the box office, becoming the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time.
The announcement was made by distributor FilmOne on Instagram on Monday. The company disclosed that the film has earned N1,017,201,953 in cinemas across West Africa.
The achievement also makes Oversabi Aunty the first Nollywood directorial debut to gross N1 billion.

The success has sparked widespread celebration on social media.
Oversabi Aunty now sits behind Funke Akindele’s A Tribe Called Judah, which grossed over N1.4 billion at the box office. It had earlier overtaken Battle on Buka Street and Omo Ghetto: The Saga to claim its current position on the all time box office chart.
