Actress Toyin Abraham has shown support for her colleague and friend, Iyabo Ojo, over alleged online attacks and bullying.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, Toyin said she had watched Iyabo get bullied for months, staying silent but fighting for her in spirit.
“Aunty mi, Aunty Iyabo… I’ve watched you get bullied for months. I stayed silent, fighting with you in spirit, hoping they’d stop. But they didn’t. Now, I’m about to react – and I pray the world won’t call it ‘overreacting.’ This time, I’m going to OVERDO it. Not just as a mum… but as the Oversabi that I am. Let’s go,” she wrote.
The support comes as Iyabo Ojo herself responds to alleged death threats from actress Lizzy Anjorin, targeting her daughter, son, and grandson. In a detailed Instagram post, Iyabo said, “I’ve seen all your messages, DMs, voice notes, and questions about my silent approach to the defamatory statements, insults, death wishes, and curses Liz Anjorin has been directing at my family, especially those targeting my grandson. Honestly, most times, I struggle to hold my peace… but I have to ignore the distractions. Who God has blessed, no one can curse. For clarity, I want to assure you all that my legal team isn’t sleeping. They’re taking notes of everything… everything has its timing.”
Toyin and Iyabo’s friendship has long been celebrated in Nollywood, with Iyabo describing Toyin as a “solid rock” on her 45th birthday earlier this month, calling her an incredible sister and showering her with prayers.
