Actors Toyin Abraham and Chimezie Imo are set to reunite in the former’s forthcoming film Night Religion, years after appearing together in the 2019 drama Nimbe.
The pair featured together in Nimbe and will now share the screen again in Night Religion, which will premiere on Toyin Abraham TV YouTube channel on March 5.
The project follows the cinema run of Oversabi Aunty, which grossed over N1 billion at the box office, placing it among the highest-grossing Nollywood titles. The film is still showing in cinemas across Nigeria, as well as select cinemas in the United Kingdom and Canada.
Night Religion also stars Bolaji Ogunmola, Emeka Okoye and Binta Mogaji.
Nimbe, directed by Tope Alake, addressed drug abuse and peer pressure among young people. Chimezie played the lead role, while Toyin had a supporting part.
Toyin Abraham is known for films such as Alakada Reloaded and The Ghost and the Tout. In recent years, she has combined cinema releases with digital distribution through her YouTube platform.
