Actress Toyin Abraham has appealed to her fans to remain focused, even as a dispute with colleague Funke Akindele continues to draw public attention.

On Thursday, Abraham took to her social media page to share details about the release of her film Love Between Two Altars.

She told her followers: “Hi my lovely fans, Love Between Two Altars will start showing on Tuesday, 7th of April on Toyin Abraham TV on YouTube.”
She added an appeal to her fan base, known as ToyinTittans:
“Also, to my lovely ToyinTittans, I love you, I appreciate you, and God will bless you all. Please, I beg you, let’s focus! Pls I’m on my kneels🙏.”

The update comes amid renewed public interest in a simmering dispute between Toyin and Funke that resurfaced over the weekend.

A video from the premiere of The Return of Arinzo, held at the Balmoral Event Centre in Victoria Island on Sunday, showed Funke Akindele and Toyin at the same table during the event. In the widely shared clip, Toyin is seen greeting Funke, who did not visibly respond to her greeting. Following the viral moment, both actresses unfollowed each other on Instagram.

The tension traces back to earlier disagreements and competition between the two actresses. In late 2025, Toyin Abraham publicly raised concerns about the box office performance of her film, which some fans interpreted as a criticism of Funke’s success in cinemas. That episode led to renewed fan attacks on Funke online.

Actor and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo had tried to mediate peace between them, saying she once cried and knelt to ask both parties to embrace peace, and that they agreed to resolve issues privately rather than on social media. However, after this latest incident, Iyabo said she would no longer intervene, urging fans to respect her decision to step back.
