Actress Tosin Adeyemi has been inaugurated as president of the Association of Music Theatre Artistes (AMTA).
The development was announced on Monday on AMTA’s official Instagram page, which also unveiled other members of the newly constituted executive committee.
Other members of the executive are Bridget Nkem, vice president; Oladotun Olagbadebo, general secretary; Chidinma Nebo, chief financial officer; Louis Adekola, director of events and partnership, and Isoken Aruede, chief communications officer.

“The Association of Music Theatre Artistes (AMTA) proudly presents its newly inaugurated executive leaders committed to strengthening professionalism, collaboration, and growth within Nigeria’s music theatre ecosystem.
“With a shared vision for excellence and industry impact, this team is poised to drive AMTA into a new era of structure, opportunity, and artistic advancement,” the association said in its Instagram post.
While congratulating its new leadership, AMTA declared: “The future of music theatre is intentional. The future is AMTA.”
Adeyemi is a theatre actor and filmmaker with years of experience on stage and screen. She studied theatre arts at the University of Lagos and later received professional acting training at La Cinéfabrique film school in Lyon, France.
She is known for her work in several stage productions, including Queen Moremi the Musical and Kakadu the Musical, and has collaborated with theatre director Bolanle Austen-Peters on multiple projects.
On screen, Adeyemi stars in the Netflix historical film House of Ga’a, directed by Austen-Peters, where she plays Zeinab. The film features actors such as Femi Branch, Funke Akindele and Lateef Adedimeji.
Beyond acting, Adeyemi has also worked as a director. She recently directed House of Naira, a stage musical that explores themes of unity and national identity.
