Tonto Dikeh, Anita Joseph, others congratulate Sonia Ogiri on American citizenship

Actresses Tonto Dikeh, Anita Joseph, Susan Peters and Angela Okorie have congratulated actress Sonia Ogiri after she announced that she is now an American citizen.

The actress shared the news on Instagram with photos of herself holding her citizenship certificate beside the American flag and banner at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office.

Her post read:

Sonia’s post attracted congratulatory messages from several of her colleagues in the movie industry.

Tonto Dikeh wrote, “Congratulations my dear.”

Susan Peters said, “Congratulations 👏👏👏.”

Anita Joseph commented, “You look so good. Congratulations baby 😍😍😍😍.”

Others including Rachael Okonkwo, Rita Edochie, Paschaline Alex and Angela Okorie also celebrated her.

Angela Okorie wrote, “When you sent this to me, I was like girl, God did it. And He will do more for you in Jesus name, amen. Congratulations my dear, you deserve it all. Keep soaring higher. I’m proud of you ❤️❤️❤️.”

Sonia, who now lives in the United States with her son, has featured in Nollywood films such as Cry With Me, When Tears Can’t Hold, Okon’s Wedding and War Fighters.

She joins a growing list of Nigerian entertainers who have recently become U.S. citizens.

Others include dancer Korra Obidi, actor Gbenro Ajibade, blogger Tunde Ednut, singer Lamboginny and actress Uche Jombo.

In June, Sonia made headlines after sharing a direct message she sent to businessman Simon Guobadia, warning him of spiritual consequences before his split from American reality TV star Porsha Williams.
