Tolu Odukoya and her brother, pastor Jimmy Odukoya, have paid heartfelt tributes to their father, the late founder of The Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, on the second anniversary of his death.
Mrs Tolu and pastor Jimmy took to social media on Thursday, to reflect on their father’s enduring legacy, love and faith.
She shared a montage video of fond memories with her father and wrote, “Pops! Da-de! Oduski Baba! I’ll love you forever. Thank you for being such a powerful example, your life left an indelible mark on this earth. You ran your race with grace… You finished well.”
Her brother, Jimmy Odukoya, who succeeded his father as the lead pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, posted a short clip of Pastor Taiwo preaching, alongside a tribute inspired by 2 Timothy 4:7.
“Two years on, and your life still speaks,” he wrote.
“You didn’t just run your race, you ran it with endurance, joy, and unshakable faith. You showed us what it means to trust God fully, to love deeply, and to lead with humility and power.”
“The seeds you sowed have taken root. The fire you lit is still burning. The church you built is still marching. Your legacy lives, and we carry it forward with honour. Forever our Father. Forever our General.”
Pastor Taiwo Odukoya died on August 7, 2023, at the age of 67 in the United States.
He was widely respected for his teachings on faith, leadership and relationships and for founding one of Nigeria’s most influential Pentecostal ministries.
His death came less than two years after the death of his second wife, Nomthi Odukoya.
His first wife, Bimbo Odukoya, also a renowned preacher, died in the 2005 Sosoliso plane crash.
Since his death, the church has continued under the leadership of Pastor Jimmy, who was ordained shortly after his father’s death.
