Media personality Toke Makinwa has welcomed her first child, a baby girl.
The 40-year-old shared the good news on Instagram on Thursday with a photo of her newborn’s hand holding hers.
“I’m a Mommy💕…… This is the happiest I’ve ever been.
My precious daughter, the love I never knew existed, my heart in another human being, my love,” she wrote.
Toke added, “I have seen the goodness of God in my life time, I have seen God move and I no longer just hear of it, I see it. It ended in praise, My miracle is here. 💃💕🌸

The announcement comes weeks after Toke revealed she was pregnant.
In mid-August, she debuted her baby bump on Instagram, describing the experience as “the biggest project of my life” and “the highest calling ever.”
She wrote, “You opened this door that nobody can shut… All that time I was convinced you had forgotten me… now I see it.”
“I’ve worn so many hats over the years but this one trumps them all… You get to see me as a mother, I get to raise my own,” she added.
Addressing her unborn child, she said, “my bug, you’ve made me the happiest person on earth, baby, thank you.”
Toke, who turned 40 last November, is one of Nigeria’s most popular media personalities. She is known for her work as a radio and TV host, YouTuber, actress, entrepreneur and author of the best-selling memoir On Becoming.
Her fans have since flooded her comment section with congratulatory messages.
The child’s father remains unknown.
