Media personality and former OAP Toke Makinwa is praising God for silencing her detractors as she shares pictures showing off her pregnancy.

The 40-year-old took to her Snapchat page on Monday to share old messages from online trolls who ridiculed her for not having a husband or child.

Some of the messages included: “oloriburuku lady no kids useless girl’ and “oloriburuku lady no husband very useless lady”

She captioned the post with:
“The God that steadily shames the devices of the wicked. The one that’ll always have the final say. Thankful.”

In another message, she made it clear that her intention was not to focus on negativity but to celebrate God’s goodness.

“Shared that not to highlight negativity but to bask in the goodness of God, and I hope anyone struggling can find the strength to believe that God has the final say.”

On August 13, Toke announced her pregnancy on Instagram, posting a video of her baby bump and revealing she is expecting her first child.

During a recent podcast episode, the former OAP became emotional while reflecting on her challenges, sharing that she had prayed to become a mother by the age of 40. She revealed that God answered her prayers when she became pregnant just one month after her 40th birthday.

Toke was formerly married to fitness expert Maje Ayinde, but the marriage ended in 2016 after two years.
