Media personality Toke Makinwa has dedicated her daughter, Yaya, in a lavish church ceremony.
The 40-year-old shared a video of herself and her baby on Instagram on Sunday with the caption, “Yaya goes to church TM X.”
The post, which showed the mother and child dressed for the occasion, drew reactions from fans and fellow celebrities who congratulated her.
The event was attended by close friends and family members.
Toke welcomed her daughter, Yakira Eliana, fondly called Yaya, in August. The radio and TV host had announced her arrival with an emotional message about motherhood and healing.
“My daughter brought me healing, she is daily healing parts of me I didn’t even know needed healing, healing from my childhood trauma, from grief I thought I had dealt with a long time ago,” she wrote in a previous post.
The actress and entrepreneur lost both parents in a gas explosion when she was eight years old, a tragedy she has often spoken about in interviews. She also went through a public divorce from fitness coach Maje Ayida in 2017 after three years of marriage.
