Tiwa Savage threatens action against X user over comments on son

Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage has publicly warned social media user Dami Foreign after he commented about her son, Jamil Balogun, in a way she described as unacceptable.

In posts on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, the singer accused Dami Foreign of a long-running effort to target her and said his remarks about her ten-year-old child were a line he should not have crossed.

She wrote, “@TheDamiForeign I dare you to post anything about my child again and THIS WILL MOVE BEYOND TWITTER. @TheDamiForeign you see that I never cared about your paid agenda to bring me down and you’ve been doing it for a long time. You talking about my child is crossing the line. … You even posted that you wanted me to die young…. Back to sender. … the obsession with me is loud but your relevance is missing.”

The dispute began after Dami Foreign made comments on social media about Jamil’s appearance in a recent post.

Tiwa Savage, born Tiwatope Savage on February 5, 1980, in Lagos, married talent manager Tunji “Tee Billz” Balogun in 2013.

The couple welcomed their son, Jamil Balogun, in July 2015. Their marriage ended publicly in 2016, and both parents are committed to co-parenting their son, who turned ten in July 2025.
