President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have congratulated the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye on his 84th birthday.
In a statement issued on Sunday to mark Pastor Adeboye’s birthday on March 2, the President and the First Lady thanked him for his prayers for Nigeria and his role in national development.
They described him as “a spiritual fortress, interceding for Nigeria and its people to God Almighty.”
They said Adeboye’s contributions extend beyond ministry to philanthropy, healthcare, education and economic empowerment.
“His humility is genuine, and his wisdom runs deep beyond the ordinary. His contributions to our nation extend beyond the pulpit, where he ministers to souls, to philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment,” the statement reads.
President Tinubu and his wife also acknowledged his leadership of the RCCG over the past five decades and the impact of his teachings in Nigeria and other countries.
They congratulated the cleric and his wife Pastor Foluke Adeboye as well as members of the RCCG and the Christian community, on the occasion.
They prayed for continued strength and health for the cleric as he continues his ministry.
“As Daddy G.O. celebrates this special day, we pray that God Almighty continues to bless him with good health and strength as he continues his work.”
Enoch Adeboye has led the RCCG since 1981, overseeing its expansion within Nigeria and internationally.
The church operates parishes in several countries and runs educational and social programmes.
Oluremi Tinubu is a pastor of the RCCG and has been associated with the church for years.
