President Bola Tinubu and the First Lady Oluremi Tinubu arrived in the United Kingdom on Tuesday for a historic state visit.
The presidential aircraft landed at London Stansted Airport at about 3:23 p.m. local time.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication Sunday Dare shared the arrival in a post on X.
The visit followed an invitation from King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The president and the First Lady will stay at Windsor Castle from March 18 to March 19.
Special Adviser on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga said the visit will include meetings with government officials and organisations involved in interfaith dialogue.
President Tinubu is also expected to hold a meeting with Keir Starmer at 10 Downing Street.
Officials from both countries are expected to sign agreements on trade, investment, defence and culture.
The president will also witness the signing of a £746 million financing agreement between UK Export Finance, the Nigerian Ports Authority and the Federal Ministry of Finance.
The agreement is for the refurbishment of Lagos Port Complex and Tin Can Island Port Complex.
Members of the president’s delegation include Senate President Godswill Akpabio and the Attorney General of the Federation Lateef Fagbemi.
Others on the trip are ministers Dele Alake, Mohammed Idris, Bianca Ojukwu, Wale Edun, Jumoke Oduwole, Hannatu Musawa and Bosun Tijani.
Also on the delegation are Christopher Musa, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu and Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency Mohammed Mohammed.
