President Bola Tinubu on Friday visited Aisha Buhari, widow of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, at the family residence in Kaduna.
President Tinubu was accompanied by several governors and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking during the visit, Tinubu assured Mrs Buhari that the late president’s legacies would be upheld.
“The loss of flesh is not the loss of spirit. The spirit that he left with us is the spirit of hard work, dedication, patriotism and honesty. We assure you and the family that we will continue the legacy of our leader and the spirit that he left behind will not be stained,” Tinubu said.
He added that Buhari’s values of honesty, integrity and service to the nation would continue to guide his administration.
The president’s visit to the Buhari residence came after he attended the wedding of Nasirudeen Yari, son of former Zamfara governor and senator representing Zamfara West, Abdul’aziz Yari and Safiyya Idris, daughter of Shehu Idris, in Kaduna.
Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja after the engagements.
