President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of three new leaders for key federal agencies, effective September 2025.

A statement signed by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, confirmed the appointments on Tuesday.

Olayiwola Awakan of TVC News was named Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) for a four-year term beginning September 2.

Bello Bwari from Niger State was appointed as Director-General of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA). His four-year tenure will begin on September 18 in line with Section 5 of the NBMA Act, 2015.

Barr. Aminu Junaidu of Zamfara State will serve as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Investment and Security Tribunal for a five-year term starting September 18.

President Tinubu charged the appointees to deliver on their mandates, stressing that effective leadership in the tourism, biosafety and investment sectors is vital to national development.

The NBMA oversees regulation of genetically modified organisms and biosafety risks in agriculture and health, while the NTDC is tasked with promoting Nigeria’s tourism and cultural assets. The Investment and Security Tribunal adjudicates disputes in investment and capital market matters.
