Actor and filmmaker Timini Egbuson has unveiled the official trailer for his upcoming film Love & New Notes, set to open in Nigerian cinemas on February 13.
The romantic drama is directed by Kayode Kasum and produced by Muyi Banti. The story is set in 1984 Lagos, during the government’s sudden change of currency, and follows the lives of ordinary people as they cope with the resulting challenges and opportunities.
In his announcement on Instagram on Wednesday, Timini wrote:
“Every house has its secrets…and love always finds a way out. Love & New Notes In cinemas nationwide February 13.”
The trailer shows a mix of romance, drama, tension and personal struggle as characters navigate love and ambition in uncertain times.
The cast includes a range of familiar Nollywood names. Leading the ensemble is Timini Egbuson in the role of Boma. Also featured are Sophie Alakija, Odunlade Adekola, Eniola Badmus and Kamo State, among others.
Love & New Notes marks another step in Timini’s move into film production after the success of his 2025 project Reel Love. That movie, also directed by Kayode Kasum, opened on Valentine’s Day 2025 and performed well at the box office.
