Gospel singer Tim Godfrey has gifted his son Bryan a car in celebration of his 17th birthday.
The 44-year-old shared the news in an Instagram post on Monday, describing Bryan as a respectful and humble teenager who rarely makes personal requests.
“My Son in whom I’m well pleased! Bryan has been a very good boy! Humble!! Respectful!! Bryan never makes request, so I took it upon myself to surprise him for his 17th,” he wrote.
Tim also joked about his parenting status following the gift, adding, “Best Dad in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD subscription renewed.”
In a video posted online, the visibly excited teenager was seen walking towards the surprise car gift as friends and family cheered.
Tim has often expressed pride in his son, whom he previously described as brilliant, focused, and disciplined.
In an Instagram post last year to mark Bryan’s 16th birthday, he wrote: “Thank you for being such a blessing. A focused, intelligent and disciplined child. You are truly a star in the making and a phenomenal footballer.”
Fans and colleagues have taken to the comment section of Tim’s latest post to celebrate the father-son moment.
Tim Godfrey is known for hit songs like ‘Nara,’ ‘Iyanu a Sele’ and ‘Agidigba.’
He got married to his wife Erica in April 2022. The couple welcomed a baby girl in early 2023.
