That’s all I wanted, Doris Ogala accepts Pastor Chris Okafor’s apology

Actress Doris Ogala has accepted the public apology issued by Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, following a dispute that unfolded online in recent days.

Doris made her position known on Sunday after a video circulated showing the pastor kneeling before his congregation during a church service to ask for forgiveness.

Reacting on Facebook, the actress wrote, “Chris Okafor, please don’t kneel. This was all I wanted. Apology accepted.”

In another post, she wrote, “CHRIS OKAFOR I FORGIVE YOU BUT THERES A PROBLEM. WHERE YOU SAID EVERYTHING IS A LIE. I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT BECAUSE I DONT LIE.”

During the service, Okafor admitted that mistakes had been made and apologised to Doris and others he said he may have offended. He said, “Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender my apology to everybody. But everything that was said is not true. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said.”

He added, “To Doris Ogala, I will apologise, and I also apologise to everyone. I’m kneeling down before everyone and before the church. Forgive me. You can judge me. Pray for me.”

While accepting the apology, Doris expressed reservations about parts of his statement. In another post, she wrote, “Chris Okafor, I forgive you, but there’s a problem where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie.”

The controversy began after Doris accused the pastor of wrongdoing linked to their past relationship, allegations he has denied. The situation escalated after she rejected an alleged 10,000 dollar settlement offer and later spent two nights in police custody before her release.

The apology has since drawn mixed reactions online, with discussions around the matter continuing.
