Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has celebrated nine years of marriage to his wife, Layal Tinubu.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday alongside new and throwback wedding photos, he wrote, “9 years married, 20 years together and our beautiful kids. I remain in awe of your strength, compassion, and the grace you show every day. @layaltinubu Thank you for loving me through it all. Here’s to the life we’ve built and the future where we grow stronger beyond what we sacrifice, to protect those we love, especially each other and our family. I love you.”
The 39-year-old acknowledged not only the years of marriage but the full span of their relationship.
He praised his wife for her endurance, understanding and kindness and emphasised their shared commitment to family and mutual support.
The couple have been together for two decades, marrying in October 2016 in a private ceremony in Italy.
Layal Tinubu is a Nigerian-Lebanese entrepreneur who studied entrepreneurship and business at the University of Surrey, UK.
She is the founder of Tots Toys, a children’s educational toy business and co-founder of the Noella Foundation, which she runs with Seyi.
Seyi Tinubu studied law at the University of Buckingham and previously earned a business administration degree from the University of Maryland.
He returned to Nigeria, joined the legal profession and went on to found Loatsad Promomedia, a digital and outdoor advertising firm that has completed hundreds of contracts worth billions of naira.
He additionally founded the Noella Foundation and other initiatives aimed at youth empowerment, healthcare and educational support, including the STEP (Seyi Tinubu Empowerment Project) and drug bank programs for indigent patients.
The couple has two children together, a daughter and a son.
