In an Instagram post on Thursday, Teju shared a regal photo of Okey Bakassi, offering both humour and admiration in his message.

“Lord Bakassi! The Comedy Phenom, formerly known as Okey Bakassi, will hereby, upon his coronation now, be known as His Royal Highness Eze Okechukwu Onyegbule, Okwu II of Umuihuocha Obohia Autonomous Community in Mbiase Imo State.

“Many congratulations, Your Highness. Long may your crown and authority remain. May your people and land be blessed in your time @okeybakassi,” he wrote.

This follows earlier report by QED.ng that Okey Bakassi had been elected king of the Umuihuocha Autonomous Community in Imo State.

“NEXT LEVEL… Service to Community,” he wrote in a post. In another message, he added, “Special thanks to the entire UMUIHUOCHA AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY… a new beginning.”
