Former Big Brother Naija housemate Tope Adenibuyan, known as Teddy A, has addressed rumours that he was physically abusing his wife Bamike Olawunmi, popularly known as Bambam.
Speaking during an interview, Teddy A said claims that he was beating his wife were false and explained his side of the story.
“They said I was beating my wife,” he said, adding that the reports were not true and that people often assume things about relationships without knowing what happens behind closed doors.
He said misunderstandings and arguments exist in marriages but maintained that the rumours about violence were incorrect. According to him, public speculation sometimes grows from incomplete information or online assumptions.
Teddy A also spoke about the pressure that comes with being in the public eye, noting that people often form opinions about celebrities based on social media narratives rather than personal knowledge.
Teddy A and Bambam met during the 2018 edition of Big Brother Naija where their relationship began. They got engaged in 2019 and held their traditional wedding in Ogun State before a white wedding in Dubai later that year.
The couple have two children together and have remained one of the reality show’s most visible couples since leaving the show.
Bambam has previously spoken about challenges she faced after childbirth, including postpartum depression, while both have publicly described their marriage as one that requires effort and communication.
