Actor and former Big Brother Africa housemate Akintayo Faniran has spoken about filming romantic scenes with actress Iyabo Ojo in the movie Labake Olododo.
In an interview with Oyinmomo TV, Tayo was asked about his romantic scene with Iyabo and whether the chemistry between them appeared too real.
Responding, the actor described Iyabo as an attractive woman but said their relationship on set remained respectful and professional.
“Iyabo Ojo is a beautiful woman. There’s hardly any man who won’t attest to the fact that she’s pleasing to the eye. The relationship between us is respectful. We’re just doing our jobs. I remember when I worked with Shaffy Bello on tinsel, then her children just got back from the UK. I was supposed to be really intimate with her, but I wasn’t as professional as I am now. I was not comfortable because her grown children were there watching”.
Tayo said the experience with Shaffy Bello happened earlier in his acting career and noted that he has since become more comfortable handling intimate scenes professionally.
Labake Olododo, produced by Iyabo Ojo and directed by Biodun Stephen, premiered in March 2025 at IMAX Cinemas in Lekki. The Yoruba language epic explores themes of justice, betrayal, faith and redemption.
The movie features actors including Muyiwa Ademola, Mercy Aigbe, Bimbo Akintola, Odunlade Adekola, Scarlet Gomez, Broda Shaggi and Fathia Balogun.
The film grossed over N200 million in cinemas nationwide.
