Actress Tope Osoba marked her 40th birthday in a deeply emotional way, reflecting on her journey as a cancer survivor.
On Instagram Tuesday, she shared a picture of herself with a heartfelt caption. She wrote that turning 40 was a milestone that once felt far out of reach. She said she had “walked through fear, pain, uncertainty, and nights that felt endless… but I’m still here. Stronger. Softer. Wiser. And incredibly grateful.”
About surviving cancer, she added: “It taught me how precious life is, how fragile moments can be, and how powerful hope truly is. I carry the scars, but I also carry the lessons — the courage I never knew I had, the love that held me together, and the quiet strength that kept whispering, ‘keep going.’”
She continued: “So today, I celebrate life in a way I never have before. I celebrate breath, sunrise, second chances, and the beauty of simply being alive. Turning 40 isn’t just a birthday for me… it’s a victory, a blessing, and a reminder that miracles happen. Here’s to healing, to growth, to joy, and to every new chapter ahead. Happy 40th birthday to me — a survivor, a fighter, and a living testimony.”
Tope discovered a lump in her breast in 2023. Initially dismissed by doctors as hormonal, further tests confirmed it was cancerous.
In November 2024, she underwent surgery to remove the tumour, followed by a second procedure to clear residual tissue. Despite challenges, including warnings that treatment could affect her ability to conceive, she emerged cancer-free.
