Linc Edochie’s ex-partner Yinka Theisen has expressed shock after the actor publicly dismissed any chance of getting back together with her.
Yinka had on Sunday shared a photo of herself and the Nollywood actor on Instagram with a romantic caption that read:
“True love never dies. The tides turn, and the storm rages. ‘Be still, I say’, and yet the tides grow stronger! Hush!!! Be still!”
In the comment section of a blog post where the photo was reposted, a follower urged Linc not to go back to Yinka. The actor replied:
“Never again. End of story.”
Shortly after, Yinka took to her Instagram story to write:
“Still in shock, numb.”
Her response came weeks after she granted an interview to actor Uche Maduagwu, where she accused Linc’s family and fans of his sister-in-law May Edochie of turning against her. She also claimed her Yoruba background played a role in the rejection she faced from the family.
“I was thrown under the bus,” she said during the interview.
Yinka and Linc first revealed their relationship publicly in May. The announcement was celebrated online, with Dele Momodu and other public figures sharing congratulatory posts. However, the relationship took a controversial turn in June when Yinka released May Edochie’s phone number to the public on Instagram.
The action triggered backlash from social media users, especially supporters of May, who accused Yinka of harassment. Linc later distanced himself from the move, stating on Facebook that he preferred peace and had chosen to walk away from the situation.
Days after the controversy, Yinka announced the end of their relationship in a now-deleted Instagram post, writing:
“In all things we say thank you Lord! My relationship with Linc is over. No hard feelings at all. I am very sad, but in all things we thank God.”
