Gospel singer Steve Crown’s wife, Ruth, has sparked mixed reactions on social media after a video surfaced showing her kneeling to take her vows during their wedding ceremony on Saturday.
The video, shared by Steve’s colleague Neon Adejo on X, captured Ruth kneeling before her husband as she pledged her commitment to him.
In an emotional speech, she vowed to be his “heaven of peace” and a “source of unwavering support.”
“I will be your heaven of peace and source of unwavering support. I vow to reason with an open heart and to share my dreams. I promise to be your cheerleader, your partner, and your anchor.
“With you, I have discovered the true essence of love, and I vow to cherish it with all that I am. I vow to love you unconditionally, I choose you every day, and to honour our sacred bond,” she said.
The gesture of kneeling attracted a flurry of comments online.
