Media personality Stephanie Coker and her husband, Olumide Aderinokun, are set to welcome their second child.
The TV host announced the news on Instagram with a video from their bee-themed baby shower. She captioned it: “Our sweet Baby A.”
The couple, who already have a daughter, Ariella, did not disclose the gender of the new baby.
Stephanie has in the past spoken openly about her struggles with fertility. She revealed that she conceived her first child through IVF and later attempted another round which failed.
“It was a costly decision to decide on IVF, we are talking about $40,000 back then. I got pregnant on the first IVF and the second one failed and I wanted to stand in front of a car and just let the car hit me,” she said in an interview.
She added, “I hated myself then because I felt I had travelled to Los Angeles to get pregnant, and the nurse called me to say, ‘Hi Stephanie, I am sorry to give you this bad news.’ I told the nurse I couldn’t go back home with no baby. I asked myself, ‘What did I spend all this money and time on?’”
The actress and presenter has also shared how she maintained her sanity during the difficult period through faith, family support and connecting with other women who had experienced failed IVF cycles.
Stephanie married Olumide Aderinokun in August 2017 in Mykonos, Greece. Their daughter Ariella was born in November 2019.
