Sheila Courage has finally reacted to the backlash from her ex-husband, Isreal DMW, over the viral video showing her dancing at a Lagos nightclub.
In a comment on a post about the video on Wednesday, Sheila left a laughing emoji, signaling her perspective on the situation. Her brief response has sparked mixed reactions online, with some defending her right to move on and others criticizing her actions.
The video, which was shared by Isreal DMW on his Instagram story, shows Sheila enjoying herself at the club.
Isreal captioned the post, urging people to stop sending him such videos, stating, “Please leave me alone, I have moved on with my life.” He also joined Daddy Freeze for a live session, where he expressed his feelings about the situation.
He remarked, “To me, I think divorce is supposed to be very painful. As in, when you are divorced, you are not meant to be happy. Omo! This girl, she saw it as a way of promoting herself. She went about doing monetized interviews, giving advice. A marriage you didn’t stay for five months. You are now advising people.”
He further criticised Sheila’s behavior, stating, “In the morning you go carry Church, in the night you go go club go turn wild.” He concluded by suggesting that Sheila left the marriage not due to mistreatment but because she wanted to explore life outside the relationship.
Despite the public fallout, Isreal mentioned that he has not given up on the idea of marriage.
Sheila Courage and Isreal DMW married in an elaborate ceremony in Benin City on October 20, 2022. Their marriage, however, was short-lived, ending in divorce after less than a year. Both parties have publicly accused each other of abuse and disrespect during their brief union.
