Pastor Korede Komaiya of The Master’s Place International Church has celebrated his 28th wedding anniversary with his wife, Pastor Esther Komaiya.
The clergyman shared photos on Instagram on Saturday, including images of himself and his wife in traditional attire, pictures of their sons and a throwback photo from their wedding ceremony.
In his caption, the 54-year-old reflected on their journey since they got married on August 16, 1997.
He recalled that they were joined in holy matrimony by Pastor Faith Oyedepo, wife of Bishop David Oyedepo, whom he regards as his spiritual father.
“Today, the 16th of August, marks exactly 28 years since God joined myself and my baby in holy matrimony, joined by our mother, Pastor Mrs. Faith Oyedepo. What a journey! Truly, we are a couple helped by God,” he wrote.
Komaiya described the years with his wife as a testimony of God’s help and mercy.
He praised Esther as a gift and support in his life, calling her his “covering, confidant and crown.”
“I am blessed beyond words to be married to a rare jewel among women, my baby, Pastor Esther. She is my gift from God, my covering, my confidant, and my crown. Her faith is rugged, her love is tender, her integrity unshakable. She is spiritual yet social, humble yet rich in wisdom, modern yet rooted in the ancient,” he wrote.
He highlighted her faith and integrity, noting that she embodies both strength and tenderness.
Komaiya also said his wife’s character is a model for others, describing her as “a generational reference point.”
He added that together with their sons and their church ministry, they rise to honour her.
Looking ahead, the pastor expressed confidence in the future of their marriage and ministry, writing that “God has been faithful. The future ahead is brighter, the journey sweeter, and the assignment greater.”
Komaiya had shared several posts earlier in the week leading up to the celebration.
The couple married on August 2, 1997 and have fours sons together.
They have continued to lead The Master’s Place International Church.
Pastor Korede Komaiya is a protégé of Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church (Winners’ Chapel).
