Seun Oloketuyi unveils new book Making Movies the Nollywood Way

Filmmaker and founder of the Best of Nollywood Awards (BON), Seun Oloketuyi, has announced the release of his latest book titled Making Movies the Nollywood Way.

According to a statement made available on Friday, the book is described as a comprehensive guide that offers unique insights into the thought process behind Nollywood movies, featuring opinions and viewpoints from 21 industry experts.

“Making Movies the Nollywood Way shares the experiences and challenges faced by Nollywood filmmakers, providing valuable lessons for aspiring filmmakers,” the release noted.

It added that the book features contributions from 21 prominent Nollywood professionals, including Ọpa Williams, Wale Adenuga and Emem Isong, who “share their stories, successes, and setbacks.”

Also highlighted is its coffee-table format, “beautifully designed with action pictures and portraits, making it a treasured keepsake for film enthusiasts.”

Speaking on the project, the statement described Oloketuyi as a “talented filmmaker, producer, and founder of the Best of Nollywood Awards” whose passion for storytelling and promotion of Nollywood excellence “have earned him recognition within the industry.”

Oloketuyi has authored other books including From Me To You and This is Nollywood.

The launch of Making Movies the Nollywood Way will hold with a book reading session at the University of Lagos on September 7.

The book is already available in e-book format on Amazon and other online platforms.
