Abuja-based Serenity Royale Hospital has denied issuing the medical report circulating online which claims actress Regina Daniels tested positive for several substances and was placed on a detox programme.
The hospital shared a disclaimer on its Instagram page in the early hours of Friday, distancing itself from the document said to detail a mid-term home detox process.
In the statement, the hospital wrote, “DISCLAIMER! Our attention has been drawn to a post (on an alleged MID TERM HOME DETOX REPORT) being circulated online in the name of Serenity Royale Hospital with respect to Mrs Nwoko Regina. We wish to state clearly that the publication and circulation of the said post containing classified information did not emanate from us and respectfully request the public to disregard same. We remain committed to high standard medical practice with huge commitment to ensuring medical confidentiality. Thank you, Management, Serenity Royale Hospital. 13th Nov, 2025.”
The leaked document claims Regina tested positive for marijuana, alcohol metabolites, nicotine, opiates and cocaine during a home-based detox programme between September and October 2025. It also alleges she went 48 hours without sleep and displayed agitation before being diagnosed with substance use disorder, noting her recovery was hindered by continued access to substances.
Regina has been at the centre of public scrutiny following her ongoing dispute with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, who has previously accused her of drug use and other behavioural issues. The timing of the leaked report has raised questions about its authenticity and possible motives.
Adding to the controversy, Regina’s brother, Sweezy, reposted the hospital statement on Instagram while addressing Nwoko, describing the report as fake.
He wrote, “FAKE DOCTORS REPORT!!! FAKE MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE!! FAKE VOTERS CARD! Voters card was printed in NED NWOKO’s sitting room at Ugboko!”
He also insisted, “Regina never went with you to any registry just in case you post the fabricated Marriage certificate too” and affirmed her age, “REGINA WAS BORN IN 2001 OCTOBER 10th.”
Sweezy denied involvement with drugs, questioned the hospital samples, and told Nwoko, “Let old behave like old and let young behave like old if possible.”
