Actress Scarlet Gomez has revealed an unexpected connection with Afrobeats star Wizkid.
Scarlet, known for her lead role in the Showmax series Wura, made the disclosure during a question and answer session with fans on X.
During the exchange, a fan asked, “Are you truly Mr Sunday Are’s daughter? If yes, what’s your first encounter with Wizkid like?”
Responding, Scarlet said, “Wiz & I went to the same secondary school 😅. He’s not changed.”
She added that they both attended Ogunlade College in Mushin, Lagos. The claim contrasts with widely reported accounts that Wizkid attended Ijebu Ode Grammar School, where he reportedly sat for his WAEC exams.
In a separate interview, Scarlet also spoke about the emotional demands of playing Wura Adeleke in Wura. She explained that the role requires her to portray a powerful businesswoman who makes difficult decisions that often affect her family.
Scarlet, born Gbemisola Shotade, rose to prominence through Wura, a Nigerian drama series that premiered in 2023 and follows the life of a ruthless woman navigating power and family in the mining sector.
