Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has stirred reactions after a humorous moment at the Dangote Cement Customer Awards & Gala Night, where he joined Afrobeats star Davido in singing during a live performance.
The event, held in Lagos on Tuesday, attracted a host of dignitaries and celebrities including Flavour, Mr P of P-Square, Kazeem Odeyeyiwa, IK Osakwe and Mariya Dangote.
While Davido thrilled the audience with his performance, it was Governor Sanwo-Olu’s attempt to sing along to the singer’s hit track ‘With You’ that stole the spotlight.
A video from the night showed the governor seated, vibing to the music and trying to keep up with the lyrics — albeit with a few lyrical missteps — much to the amusement of online audience.
The clip quickly made its rounds online, sparking a wave of lighthearted reactions.
One viewer joked, “Madam Saje junior brother…… best in singing wetin musician no sing 😂😂😂😂😂”
Another quipped, “🤣 wetin our Gov dey sing so😂”

Before hitting the stage, Davido was seen exchanging warm greetings with dignitaries, including Aliko Dangote and Governor Sanwo-Olu.
