Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commended the renaming of Bariga Road after President Bola Tinubu and Community Road in the Akoka area after himself.
The roads are among several newly renamed streets in Bariga Local Council Development Area (LCDA), announced by the council chairman, Kolade Alabi, during the inauguration of various community projects on Friday.

Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his administration’s support for the 57 local councils in Lagos, encouraging them to operate with accountability and autonomy.
He added, “These facilities belong to you. I urge you to take ownership of them, safeguard them, and preserve their vibrancy for future generations.”
