Fuji musicians Saheed Osupa and Pasuma were seen together on Tuesday at the 15th year remembrance of fuji pioneer, the late Ayinde Barrister.
In a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday by Saheed Osupa, the two artists appeared dressed in white as they exchanged handshakes and spoke cordially, drawing excitement from fans around them. Voices of women present could be heard saying in Yoruba, “Friends like brothers.”
The 55 year old captioned the post, “Earlier today, at the 15th year remembrance of Fuji creator, the late Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister. Rest on, Baami Agbajelola Barusati 🕊️.”
The event was held in honour of Barrister, widely regarded as the creator of fuji music, who died in 2010. He is credited with shaping the genre and mentoring several artistes who later became leading figures in fuji music, including Osupa and Pasuma.
Osupa and Pasuma are two of the most prominent names in fuji music and have shared a long history marked by rivalry that spanned several years. Their perceived feud, often amplified by fans and diss tracks, was a major talking point within the fuji music space for decades.
In recent years, however, both artistes have been seen together at public events, fuji festivals and memorials, suggesting a calmer relationship. Their appearance together at Barrister’s remembrance was viewed by many fans as a sign of mutual respect and maturity.
