Content creator and crypto trader Ahmad XM’s second wife Safeera Abba has spoken out following the backlash she received after her former co-wife Safiya Umar confirmed her separation from their husband.
Safeera, a medical student and influencer, addressed the situation in a post shared on Instagram Story on Monday.
She wrote: “It’s painful to be insulted, judged, and misunderstood by people who don’t know the full story.
“My husband made a choice to end his previous marriage… a decision that was personal and painful in its own way, not out of pride or pressure, but for reasons that only those truly involved would understand.
“My husband didn’t leave his past for no reason. There were things done over time that no man should have to live with that crossed lines.
“He held on longer than most would have. He kept forgiving, hoping things would change. But when a person keeps showing you who they are, you can’t force peace where it doesn’t exist.
“He chose peace. And I chose love that came after pain not because I caused it, but because I respected what came before me.
“They didn’t see what broke him. They just needed someone to blame. And I’ve become the easiest target.
“I’ve never come out to seek pity. I’m not here to play innocent. I’m just tired of the lies.”
Safeera’s post came hours after Safiya Umar announced her separation from Ahmad, confirming months of speculation.
“Today, I feel it is important to speak from the heart… I am no longer with my ex-husband, Ahmad XM,” Safiya wrote on social media.
She described the decision as a difficult one, made after deep reflection, and thanked those who supported her.
“To all those who have supported me, prayed for me, and shown me love, I am truly grateful,” she added.
Ahmad married Safiya in early 2024 and the union produced a daughter. In early 2025, he married Safeera, reviving a relationship that had ended in 2023 due to alleged disapproval from his family.
Following the second marriage, Ahmad faced backlash on social media, with many questioning the timing of the new union and its emotional impact on Safiya.
Tensions reached a peak during Ahmad’s recent birthday celebration. Safiya posted a loving tribute to her husband, but Ahmad later uploaded a romantic video celebrating with Safeera and showcasing his new car, a car he said Safeera always supported him to get. Safiya soon deleted her post.
Shortly after, she removed photos of Ahmad from her social media pages. Trolls stormed her account with messages.
