Actor and producer Rotimi Salami has thanked moviegoers after his film Kilanko crossed N100.9 million at the Nigerian box office.
Rotimi shared the milestone on his Instagram page on Wednesday, posting a screenshot of the box office figures with the caption: “Consistency is key. Thank you Nigeria.”
He also announced that the film is coming to the UK.
Kilanko was released in cinemas across Nigeria on March 6. The film, directed by the late Allwell Ademola and produced by Salami, features a cast that includes Laide Bakare, Ibrahim Chatta, Biola Adebayo and Rotimi Salami.
Earlier in its cinema run, Salami had urged Nigerians to support the film when it was struggling at the box office, saying it was not doing well in cinemas and appealing for more people to watch it.
