Actor Rotimi Salami has recounted a recent health scare that left him hospitalised after an intense period of work.
On his Instagram page on Monday, Rotimi shared a post of himself in a hospital bed, while expressing gratitude to his Maker. Rotimi said he survived the last 48 hours because God said yes.
The actor said he has stressed his body due to his movie promotion, but he is still grateful to God for his life and his movie’s progress.
He wrote, “Thank God for my life… I survived the last 48 hours because God said yes.
“I am not the type to say “Devil is a liar” because I have truly stressed this body. Kilanko has taken too much from me, but still I am grateful to God for life and Kilanko’s progress”.
The actor has been actively promoting his film Kilanko: The Invisible Child, a project he helped complete after the death of its director Allwell Ademola.
The movie explores themes of belief, health and the challenges surrounding an abiku child. Production began in 2023 and was completed in 2026, with Rotimi taking on the responsibility of seeing the project through.
Kilanko was released in cinemas on March 6. Rotimi had recently appealed to the public to support the film, citing low turnout.
