Actor Rotimi Salami broke down in tears on Thursday while appealing to those who his late colleague and friend, Allwell Ademola, may have wronged to forgive her.

Rotimi made the emotional plea during a service of songs held in honour of Ademola at LTV8 in Lagos.

While speaking at the event, the 45-year-old urged unity among colleagues and friends as a way of preserving her memory.

He said, “If there is anyone Allwell has wronged directly or indirectly, I’m using this medium to say please forgive her and keep praying for her. I think the only thing we can do is to find a way in unity is to keep her legacy.”

In a show of solidarity, Salami also announced that he would make himself available for one day of free work for anyone who contact him for a movie project.

Allwell Ademola, an actress, producer, director and scriptwriter, died on December 27, 2025. Reports said she slumped at her home in Lagos and was rushed to a hospital in the Agege area, where she was pronounced dead. She was 49 years old.

Her death has drawn emotional reactions across the film industry, with colleagues describing her as a passionate creative who made notable contributions to Nollywood over the years.

The service of songs at LTV formed part of activities lined up for her burial, with family members, friends and colleagues in attendance to pay their last respects.
