Rotary International has appointed publisher/editor-in-chief of Naija Times and Lagos Post Ehi Braimah as one of its new assistant regional public image coordinators (ARPIC) for Africa, a key leadership role in shaping the global service organisation’s public profile.

Mr. Braimah is among five distinguished Rotarians named to serve in Region 27, one of three subdivisions of rotary’s expansive Africa Zone 22. This region spans nine districts across Anglophone West Africa and Egypt.

The announcement was made by Tamunoibim Semenitari, rotary’s current public image coordinator for Africa (2023–2026), who congratulated the appointees and invited them to the upcoming regional team learning seminar in Accra, Ghana, from May 7 to 11.

Braimah brings decades of media and strategic communication expertise to the role.

He is the managing director and CEO of Neo Media & Marketing and currently serves as assistant governor in District 9112.

His extensive rotary experience includes stints as president of the Rotary Club of Lagos (2018–2019), district secretary (2021–2022) and chair of the district public image committee (2024–2025).

Outside rotary, Braimah is also the deputy national president of the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce and a prominent public affairs commentator.

In 2024, he was honoured with the Chancellor’s Alumni Award by the University of Roehampton, London.

Joining him in the ARPIC cohort are Bassey Ekpenyong (Rotary Club of Uyo Urban), Olubisi Abosede (Rotary Club of Ibadan Jericho Metro), Kwesi Kittoe (Rotary Club of Winneba, Ghana) and Marwan Montasser (Rotary Club of Alexandria New Era, Egypt).

As ARPICs, the team will be instrumental in driving rotary’s brand visibility, coordinating media efforts and supporting crisis communications and community engagement strategies across the region.

Their appointment signals Rotary International’s continued commitment to strengthening its public image across Africa.
