RMD’s son Tega debuts in award-winning Revelations, set for August 15 cinema release

Actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) is set to share the big screen with his son Oghenetega Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as Tega, in a new film titled Revelations.

The movie, which marks Tega’s acting debut, is scheduled for a cinematic release on August 15.

On Thursday, Tega announced the news on Instagram, unveiling a poster that read:
“Double the Power, Double the Debut!
BREAKING NEWS
We’re excited to announce that Revelations, out in cinemas August 15th, marks the debut cinematic appearance of legendary actor RMD alongside his son TMD, who is also making his very first on-screen appearance. This powerful father-son moment is one for the books, a passing of the torch and a celebration of legacy, talent, and family.”

In the caption, he wrote:
“Never thought the day would come… After years of watching my old man light up the screen, I’m finally making my own debut. A silent dream coming to life — and I got to share it with the man, the legend, my father. Grateful is an understatement. I’m truly blessed beyond measure, and I can’t wait for y’all to see it.”

The film is a cross-cultural drama set between Nigeria and Utah, USA. It follows the emotional journey of a Nigerian-American couple grappling with infertility and the weight of cultural expectations.

Revelations has already begun making waves internationally, clinching several awards at the Utah International Film Festival, including Best Actor for RMD and an honorable mention for Tega in the Best Supporting Actor category.

The cast of Revelations includes notable Nigerian actress Chioma Akpotha and Big Brother Titans finalist Nnamdi Kanaga, alongside international stars Tanya Price, Ryon Thomas, Albert Simpson, Alex Boyé and others.

The film was directed by award-winning Nigerian-American filmmaker Dimeji Ajibola.

The project marks another milestone in RMD’s legendary career and introduces a new generation of Mofe-Damijo talent to Nollywood and global audiences.

Richard Mofe-Damijo, 63, is one of Nollywood’s most respected actors, with a career spanning over three decades. His son Tega, a US-based creative, holds degrees in filmmaking and screenwriting and has previously worked behind the scenes before stepping into the spotlight with this film.
