Actress Rita Dominic has announced the start of the search for the 46th Miss Nigeria.
She made the announcement on Sunday, which coincided with the International Women’s Day celebration.
Sharing a video on Instagram, she wrote, “A young woman is about to step into her moment.
“The next Miss Nigeria could be anywhere.
Not just Lagos. Not just one city.
“From Abuja to Calabar, Ibadan to Enugu, the search spans across Nigeria.
“The search for the diamond, the 46th Miss Nigeria, has begun. 💎
“The journey to the crown begins at the Miss Nigeria Beauty & Fashion Fair, where beauty meets opportunity and the future of fashion takes the stage.
“And this year, a legacy returns.
The Daily Times Fashion Designer of the Year Award is being reborn, spotlighting the next generation of creative talent shaping the future of Nigerian fashion.
“Be part of the moment where dreams begin.
Because the next queen’s story could start in that room.”
Rita currently serves as chairman of the Miss Nigeria board and oversees efforts to reposition the pageant as a platform that promotes leadership, culture and opportunities for young Nigerian women.
The Miss Nigeria Beauty and Fashion Fair, which marks the start of the 2026 pageant journey, is scheduled to hold on March 22 and 23 at the Grand Ballroom of Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Organisers say the event will bring together fashion designers, beauty entrepreneurs and aspiring contestants. It will also feature the young designer of the year competition aimed at supporting emerging talent in the fashion industry.
