Socialite Pretty Mike has announced the death of his father, revealing that the loss occurred a few months ago.
In a video shared on Instagram, Pretty Mike spoke about the impact his father had on his life, stating that the older man was a symbol of peace and virtue.
“I lost my father a couple of months back and he was one man that instilled a lot of virtues in me, a lot of love,” he said in the video.
“He was one man that stood and encouraged everyone to be at peace. Dad I miss you, I love you.”
The Lagos-based socialite, known for his dramatic entrances at events and controversial social media presence, also revealed in the caption of his post that he was deeply emotional about the loss.
“I can no longer see you with my eyes nor touch you with my hands but I will feel you in my heart forever… Rest well Dad,” he wrote.
Pretty Mike added that he rarely discusses personal matters publicly but chose to honour his father’s memory by sharing one of the lessons he learnt from him.
“I hardly talk about my personal life on my page but he’s gone and I just want to use this opportunity to instill one of the few things he instilled in me and instill it to the world,” he said.
The 38-year-old did not disclose further details about his father’s name or the cause of death.
However, fans and colleagues have taken to the comment section of his post to send condolences and offer support.
