Actor Kunle Afod is mourning his colleague Odunayo Olufemi, popularly known as Oloto.
Kunle shared the sad news in an Instagram post on Friday, revealing how the actor suddenly died after complaining of discomfort at a hospital.
He wrote:
“Odunayo Olufemi Oloto
I can’t believe you are no more…
Your news came to me as a shock…
You went to church, complained about it and went to the hospital opposite your church and you sat down to complain to the receptionist how you were feeling but instead died immediately…
What a world
Vanity upon vanity
All is vanity
…….
Rest in peace my friend
It’s a wrap.”
Actress Regina Chukwu also paid tribute to the deceased on Instagram, describing him as a good man who gave her advice and support in the early days of her career.
“Thank you for the times you sat me down and schooled me. Thank you for the advice. Thank you for the corrections. Thank you for the times you yelled and scolded me,” she wrote.
Odunayo’s death adds to the string of tragedies that have rocked Nollywood in recent weeks.
The Yoruba movie industry also recently lost fast-rising actress Omotola Odunsi.
Details about Oloto’s burial have not yet been announced.
