Samuel “Sammy West” Daniels, younger brother of actress Regina Daniels, has been granted N5 million bail after spending several days in detention.

The news was confirmed on Monday. Sammy, who was remanded at Keffi Prison, can now secure his freedom following the bail approval.

Reacting to the development, his brother, known on Instagram as @Sweezzy1, wrote: “Sammy, you are a great man. Bail has been granted! Nigerians, thank you.”

The drama surrounding Sammy’s arrest stems from the ongoing high-profile family conflict involving Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko. Reports say Sammy was arrested in Lagos earlier this month and later remanded by a magistrate court.

Regina Daniels had earlier raised alarm over her brother’s detention, posting: “I will return if that’s the only way, do whatever he says.”

She alleged that the arrest was aimed at pressuring her into returning to the marriage, claiming her brother was being held until she complied.

On his part, Ned Nwoko stated that Sammy’s arrest was linked to his repeated visits to his residence and alleged harassment of his children and staff: “…these videos show Sammy, Regina’s brother, repeatedly coming to my home and harassing my children and domestic staff…”

The bail comes as a temporary relief for the actress’ family, but the larger conflict between Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko remains unresolved. Sammy is expected to appear in court as required under the bail conditions.
