Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has paid a special visit to Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), where she presented her WAFCON 2024 medal and awards to the church’s founder Pastor Daniel Olukoya and his wife Shade Olukoya.
The event, which took place on Saturday, during the monthly Power Must Change Hands programme at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries’ (MFM) Prayer City in Ogun State, drew attention from congregants and special guests, including wife of the Lagos State governor Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and the governor’s chief of staff Tayo Ayinde.
In a symbolic gesture of gratitude and spiritual tribute, Ajibade handed over her accolades, including a Woman of the Match trophy to the Olukoyas alongside a personalised Super Falcons jersey with the name “OLUKOYA 01” boldly printed on it.
Pastor Olukoya took to Instagram to celebrate the moment, describing it as a testimony of divine faithfulness.
“We celebrate the faithfulness of God in the life of our very own Rasheedat Ajibade. We give God all the glory for His grace upon her life and pray that the same grace that has brought her and the team this far will continue to lead them into even greater victories,” he wrote.
Ajibade is not only a footballer of global repute but also a proud product of MFM’s football outreach.
She played for MFM FC Women’s team at the beginning of her career before moving to Europe, where she currently plays for Atlético Madrid Femenino.
Her strong Christian faith and consistent public show of gratitude to her spiritual roots have earned her admiration within and outside football circles.
Ajibade’s visit came on the heels of Nigeria’s triumphant run at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The Super Falcons defeated host nation Morocco 3-2 in a tense final to clinch their 12th WAFCON title.
The 25-year-old played a critical role in the competition, not only captaining the side but also making decisive contributions throughout the tournament.
