Princess Toyin Kolade holds memorial service for mother in Ilesha

Businesswoman and Iyalaje Oodua, Princess Toyin Kolade, on Thursday, held a memorial service in honour of her mother, Comfort Adejuyigbe, who died on the same date in 2016.

The event, held at the family home in Ilesha, Osun State, marked the ninth anniversary of Mrs Adejuyigbe’s death.

As part of the occasion, Princess Kolade extended support to the community through an outreach that included the distribution of cash, food items and relief materials.

According to family sources, Adejuyigbe died at the age of 90 after a brief illness.

She was known for her deep religious faith and was a devoted member of the Anglican Church in Ilesha.

Before her death, she was actively involved in women’s fellowship and community service within the church.

Kolade described her mother as a woman who valued discipline, prayer and service to others.

She said her mother’s values shaped the lives of her children and influenced her own approach to business and community engagement.

Adejuyigbe was survived by children and grandchildren, including Princess Kolade, who is the managing director of Fisolak Global Resources, Fisolak Royal Furniture and Arikay Oil and Gas.

Kolade has interests in oil and gas, interior design, real estate, maritime operations and hospitality.

She is also known for her philanthropic efforts and involvement in cultural and traditional activities as the Iyalaje Oodua.

The memorial service included prayers, hymns and tributes from family members, friends and associates who described Madam Adejuyigbe as a woman who lived a life of faith and service.
